A Typical Day for a Student at Route 66 Idiomas

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to learn Spanish in Valencia, this post will tell you all about it. At Route 66 Idiomas, we welcome students from countries all over the world: the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Japan, the USA, China … to name but a few! The cultural mix in our classrooms is one of the most enriching aspects of our intensive Spanish courses.

Our students’ day starts at 9 a.m. with dynamic, interactive lessons which run until 1 p.m. Four hours of intensive classes in which speaking Spanish becomes natural, thanks to our teachers and the relaxed atmosphere in the school.

Mid-morning, from 10:50 a.m. to 11:10 a.m., we take a break to grab a coffee, share some cookies in our lounge area and recharge. Some students prefer to pop down to Bonjour La Boulangerie, a small French bakery next door to the school where everything is absolutely delicious.

After class, the options are endless: strolls through the historic center of Valencia, museum or park visits, salsa classes, flamenco nights, matches at the Mestalla football stadium, or an afternoon at the Oceanogràfic aquarium.

And we can’t forget our legendary paella events at the school – the perfect excuse for students to get to know each other better! What makes Route 66 Idiomas special isn’t just our location or facilities, but the family-like atmosphere, the result of how long many of our students stay with us. Like John, for example, an English student who has visited us every year for over a decade.

If you’re looking for an intensive Spanish course in Valencia, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. At Route 66 Idiomas, learning Spanish is much more than studying: it’s an experience!
