Sworn Translation

Sworn translation

A sworn translation (also called “official” or “certified” translations) from and into Spanish can only be completed by translators who have the official “sworn translator” title from the Spanish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. These translations carry the stamp and signature of the translator which certify that it is legally valid for submission to any public or private institution.

What kinds of documents need to be translated by a sworn translator?

Sworn translations are often necessary for documents such as birth and marriage certificates, academic transcripts and degree certificates, contracts and other legal documents.
