Chinese New Year Parade 2015

Chinese New Year Parade 2015

The University of Valencia’s Confucius Institute, in collaboration with Valencia City Council, has organized several activities to celebrate Chinese New Year, including talks, workshops, courses and exhibitions, as well as a parade which will run through the city centre on Saturday. We think these activities will appeal to our Chinese students and all those who want to learn more about another culture.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, on Saturday 21 February 2015, the parade will set off from Calle Pelayo at 18.30. The procession will be led by a Chinese dragon, performing the dance of the dragon and lion, and will also include various taiji and wushu groups, martial artists, acrobats, contortionists, and jugglers using rings and Chinese plates. The organizers hope the parade will introduce the public to Chinese traditions and festivals.
