Formula 1 returns to Valencia

Formula 1 returns to the streets of Valencia this weekend!
While the two previous editions have been held in August, the 2010 F1 Valencia Street Circuit will host 3 days of racing from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 June. Hopefully the more pleasant temperatures will encourage lots of spectators to go down to Valencia’s renovated port area to enjoy the excitement and typical tyre-squealing.
If you aren’t sufficiently lucky or well-off to get a ticket to see any of the racing, you can still venture down to the port to check out the free events in the “Beach Park” area.

Route 66 Idiomas language school students planning to go to the Valencia port area for the Formula 1 racing and events by public transport should check the EMT and Metrovalencia websites before leaving home. Strikes are planned for this weekend, but might get called off.

Explicación de esta fiesta popular que se desarrolla anualmente durante la mañana del 29 de junio, festividad de San Pedro, en la ciudad de Haro, La Rioja (España).
Viernes 25 de Junio: cine en la escuela
Hora: 15.00-17.00 Película: Robots
Sinopsis: En la película vas a conocer a memorables robots como Rodney Hojalata, un joven y genial inventor que sueña con ayudar a los robots en todas partes; Cappy, una guapa, dinámica y espabilada robot con la que Rodney se encariña enseguida; el corrupto tirano empresarial Ratchet que se las tiene tiesas con Rodney; El Gran Soldador, un maestro inventor que anda sin rumbo; y un grupo de robots inadaptados conocidos como los Oxidados, liderados por Manivela y Piper Pinwheeler. A Manivela, se le caen periódicamente la cabeza, los brazos y las piernas y siempre en los momentos más inoportunos. Cuando Rodney colma la continua necesidad de Manivela de reparaciones, los dos se con-vierten en grandes amigos. Piper es la hermana marimacho de Manivela, que sorprende a todos con su determinación y su fuerza. El resultado es una historia cómica y atemporal que va más allá en el campo de la animación mientras presenta personajes llenos de espíritu y humor físico, y una historia alentadora que demuestra que un robot puede brillar sin importar de qué esté hecho.

Sypnosis: a New Orleans-based maverick ATF agent named Doug Carlin who is brought in on a top-secret government program to catch the terrorist responsible for a ferry bombing that kills hundreds. Able to do what most law enforcement officers only dream of, Carlin is now able to look back in time at the perpetrator’s movements, and at the life of the innocent woman whose death would set the events into motion. Carlin’s instincts tell him that something is amiss, however, and while the government agent who tapped him for the job and the team of ultra-cool scientists who run the project tell him one story about the quantum physics behind this marvel of technology, the hotshot agent suspects that there is a greater power at their fingertips — one that might not just solve the crime at hand, but prevent it.
