Esta vez solo serán dos equipos, con lo cual el glamour se reduce a dos octavos del que se exhibió durante la edición de 2007. La vela se vuelve a encender, ¿o a izar? La copa se vuelve a llenar, ¿o se la van a jugar?

Lo cierto es que la 33.ª (trigésima tercera, nada de treinta y tres, por favor) edición de la America’s Cup parece, Rita mediante, que tendrá lugar de nuevo en nuestra ciudad, el próximo febrero. BMW Oracle y Alinghi (Estados Unidos contra Suiza) se medirán en un cara a cara, sin más contrincantes, debido a la resolución judicial que invalidó algunos de los enfrentamientos de la competición anterior. Esa que hizo lucir el distrito de Marítim y aclaró las aguas de nuestro puerto.

El caso es que vuelven los barcos, si nada vuelve a cambiar. ¿Acudiréis a ver alguna regata? ¿Lo hicisteis ya en 2007 o en aquella ocasión viviste de espaldas al mar? Como se decía en algunos círculos, ¿te la sopla el viento de la America’s Cup?

Following the Moto GP Finals last week, the Cheste Circuit is busy again this weekend, hosting the Ferrari World Finals.

This is the first time that Ferrari have held its end of season celebrations outside Italy, and so a great opportunity for Formula 1 fans in Valencia to see more of their beloved cars without having to go far from home.

Following the success of their 2007 exhibition of some of the Valencian painter Joaquín Sorolla’s major works, Bancaja is now offering us more of the same.

Entry to “Visión de España. Sorolla.” is free and you can reserve tickets for a certain date and time slot, which will save you having to queue. No need to hurry though, it’s on until 10 January 2010 at the Centro Cultural Bancaja in Plaza de Tetuán, 23.
